Great work! Really captures the sense of friendly companionship.

I'm really enjoying revisiting working in traditional mediums. I love the ease of use and cleanness one can achieve digitally, but it feels good to dig back into a more tactile approach again.

Amazing...the fur looks so soft, I want to pet them!

I had to :+fav: this, it's a wonderful piece!

Digital work is fascinating, but traditional has always impressed me. I think it takes amazing talent to pick up pencil or pastel or charcoal and create something that practically lives and breathes off the paper...

You are truly blessed with that ability.

I write the words that come and go
That swirl around all to and fro
Inside my head, where they scream and shout,
Pushing and shoving to find a way out
to wind up on paper for all to peruse-
interpret my words any way that you choose.

I have to agree with you. I started in traditional mediums long before digital was an option - it was my first love. However, once I got a knack for working digitally, I set aside my traditional tools in favor of the convenience (and cleanness) of working with a tablet and stylus.

Sometimes it's just necessary to revisit one's roots. I think my last 3 pieces (in my gallery) have been some of my most enjoyable. I can also see that I have learned a few new things during my digital explorations and have been able to apply them to my traditional work.

Thank you for your lovely observations

Digital has been fun, learning photo manips is a blast, and challenges the creativity, but I'd forgotten that once upon a time I knew how to draw...albeit not as well as you! My daughter reminded me, when she asked me how I drew a rose I had done almost 20 years ago. Uhh....

But it got the pencil and paper back out! I hope she picks it up and runs with it. Drawing was such an outlet, as was writing. Digital is great, but unless you've got a laptop, you can't take it with you and just whip it out to create something when the mood strikes!

I'll be visiting your gallery often, I can tell. =D
